The history of this highly reputed Franciacorta producer Ca' del Bosco began in the mid 1960's when Annamaria Clementi Zanella bought a small house called Ca' del Bosc on a mountain in Erbusco, Franciacorta. In 1967 he decided to plant vineyard. This was the beginning of a series of fine wines. The first white wine was launched in 1973 and the first red wine in 1977. After a tour of the Champagne caves, Maurizio Zanella chose to also produce Italian premium sparking. With the help of a "chef de cave", Ca' del Bosco now also makes excellent bubbles that are among the best in Italy. The first 3 "spumante" were made in 1976: the brut, the dosage zero and the rosé. A few years later, the crémant followed.
