• 1/2 ounce Donn's Mix (recipe below)
• 1/2 ounce Falernum (sweet and citrusy liqueur)
• 1 teaspoon Grenadine Syrup
• 4 dashes Angostura Bitters
• 1 dash Pernod (licorice-flavored anise spirit)
• Mint Sprig (for garnish)
• Optional Garnish: Pineapple Wedge, Maraschino Cherry

Donn's Mix (makes about 1 cup):

• 2 parts Fresh Grapefruit Juice
• 1 part Cinnamon Syrup

Instructions:

1. Prepare Donn's Mix (optional): Combine grapefruit juice and cinnamon syrup in a sealed container. Shake well and refrigerate until ready to use. Donn's Mix can be stored for up to a week.

2. Combine liquids: In a blender filled with crushed ice, add all the rum varieties, lime juice, Donn's Mix (or substitute with 1 ounce fresh grapefruit juice and 1/2 ounce cinnamon syrup), falernum, grenadine, Angostura bitters, and Pernod.

3. Blend it up: Blend for no more than 5 seconds at a low speed to combine and chill the ingredients. You don't want to over-blend and create a smoothie-like consistency.

4. Strain and serve: Pour the blended mixture into a tall tiki mug or highball glass filled with fresh crushed ice.

5. Garnish time:  Add a mint sprig and your choice of optional garnishes like a pineapple wedge or maraschino cherry for a tropical touch.
