Wed, May 22, 24  |  tequila cocktails

This recipe takes the refreshing margarita and infuses it with the vibrant flavors of pineapple, creating a delightful and balanced summer cocktail. Perfect for poolside gatherings or a relaxing evening on the patio, the Sun-Kissed Pineapple Margarita is sure to transport you to a tropical paradise.

Ingredients:

  • 2 ounces silver tequila
  • 3 ounces fresh pineapple juice
  • ¾ ounce fresh lime juice
  • ¾ ounce orange liqueur (Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • Coarse salt, for rim (optional)
  • Lime wedge and pineapple wedge, for garnish

Instructions:

  1. If you prefer a salted rim, rub a lime wedge around the rim of a margarita glass and dip it in coarse salt.
  2. In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, combine the tequila, pineapple juice, lime juice, and orange liqueur.
  3. Shake well for about 15 seconds to chill and dilute the drink. Strain the margarita into the prepared glass.
  4. Garnish your margarita with a lime wedge and a pineapple wedge. Sit back, relax, and savor the refreshing taste of sunshine!

Tips:

  • For a sweeter margarita, add a splash of simple syrup or agave nectar to taste.
  • If you don't have fresh lime juice, you can use bottled lime juice, but fresh is always preferred for the best flavor.
  • For a smoky flavored margarita, use mezcal instead of tequila.
  • To make a pitcher of margaritas, simply multiply the recipe ingredients by the number of servings you want to make.
